Background on the program

Background on the program
The Skills for Success in a Changing World program is a curriculum of thinking that adopts clear and explicit references that anyone can benefit from, anywhere, in any job and in any context. The program does not impose any political or religious bias on its beneficiaries, and is a genuine intellectual product of the International Forum for Islamic Dialogue (London). The program was launched in the Arab world in January 2009 from Beirut, where it started with the participation of civil society organizations from seven Arab countries (Iraq, Sudan, Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria and Lebanon). The international platform, intellectually and organizationally, has become an integrated program that has been tested in several regions of the Arab, European and Asian world. Volunteering is the dominant feature of those working on the program.
On 24-27 May 2013 in Sharm El Sheikh, Arab Republic of Egypt, the network was effectively institutionalized and joined by new members from Libya, Jordan and Palestine. The main task of the network is to coordinate among member organizations and provide administrative support and consultancy to them in all possible ways, in order to achieve its overall goal of implementing development projects aimed at developing and spreading a “culture of success and prosperity” in Muslim communities. Its comprehensive vision of social change is committed to its intellectual references, and uses the mechanisms of "modern social entrepreneurship" as a method in implementing its projects.

Success Program in Sudan
The program started in Sudan through the participation of Dr. Omar El Khair Ibrahim in the first meeting in Beirut in January 2009, where he is considered one of the first founders and accredited to the network of Najah 21 for the Middle East and North Africa. Since then, Sudan has been a valued presence in all program workshops and constituent network meetings held annually in Lebanon, Cairo, Turkey, Jordan, etc. Later, the presence of Sudan increased with the accession of Professors Ali Abdel Wahab and Omar Hamed Aljababi respectively. It was such a boost and the beginning of the program in Sudan and Sudan. Also, the visit of Ms. Hajar Al-Qahtani and Mr. Ali Abu Zakouk in the first training program in Sudan in 2010 officially announced the launch of the program in Sudan, where she organized three training courses on the program with university professors, police officers and representatives of civil society organizations. This was followed by the selection and accreditation of Dr. Omar El Kheir Ibrahim as a regional accredited trainer with three others from Morocco, Egypt and Tunisia as the first accredited trainers in the Arab world to confirm the progress of the program in Sudan.
The real support for the program was after the establishment of the Sudanese Center for Democracy and Development in April 2010, which came as a real fruit of the program and its impact and a natural result of the change brought about by the program in the thinking of the founders of the center and encouraged them to raise the ceiling of their ambitions to lead change not only at the level of youth and university students but at the community level All systematically and institutionally. It was remarkable that the Center made the Skills of Success program the intellectual and scientific basis that it totally adopts to achieve the desired change in the targeted youth and other groups and volunteers who believe in the idea of the Center and its objectives and engaged their faculties in all its activities focusing on three areas: social change, good governance and peace. .
The program is now one of the most important smart partnerships between the SDC, the International Platform for Islamic Dialogue and the Najah 21 Network for the Middle East and North Africa.
